Privacy policy

What personal data I collect on this site, why I use it, who I share it with and how you can exercise your rights.

Controller

This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version is the legally binding one; if they differ, the Spanish version prevails.

Gonzalo Navarro, an individual domiciled in Chile, is responsible for the personal data collected on this site. For any privacy question you can write to gs.navarroh@gmail.com.

This policy is governed by Chilean Law No. 19,628 on the protection of private life, as amended by Law No. 21,719.

What data I collect and why

  • Business proposals: name and email of invited people, to give them access with a code sent by email. Only invited emails can open a proposal.
  • Proposal reading: date of each visit, reading time, progress, sections viewed and selected modules, to follow up and prepare the business conversation.
  • Approval and amendments: name, email, date and time, the accepted text, the browser and an irreversible hash of the IP address, as a record of the electronic acceptance. Payment reports store who made them and when.
  • Conversation with the site assistant: first and last name, email, phone, company and the messages you write, to answer and follow up on your request.
  • Subscription: email and language, to send you updates.
  • Articles: only a view count, with no data that identifies you.

Legal basis

  • Your consent, when you write to the assistant or subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • The business or pre-contractual relationship, for proposals, their approval and payments.
  • A legitimate interest in the site’s security and in following up on proposals sent.

Who I share data with

I do not sell or transfer personal data. I only share it with the services needed to run the site:

  • Supabase, for the database and sign-in.
  • Vercel, to host the site.
  • Zapians, a service I own that runs the site assistant and may rely on artificial intelligence providers to answer.
  • Authorities, when there is a legal obligation.

Transfers outside Chile

Some of these providers process data on servers located outside Chile, with the contractual and technical security measures of their service.

Cookies and browser storage

  • A session cookie, only if you sign in to view a proposal. It is needed to keep you signed in.
  • Your light or dark theme preference and your conversation identifier with the assistant, stored in your own browser.
  • I do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools.

How long I keep data

  • Approved proposals, their amendments and payments are kept as a record of the agreement for the periods required by law.
  • Proposal reading data and conversations, while useful for the business relationship.
  • Subscriptions, until you ask to unsubscribe.

Security

Data travels encrypted, access to each proposal is limited to its invitees and the database enforces per-person access rules. No measure is infallible, but I keep reviewing and improving these protections.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability or blocking of your data by writing to gs.navarroh@gmail.com. I will respond within the legal deadlines.

If you believe your rights were not respected, you can file a complaint with the personal data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If what I collect or how I use it changes, I will update this page and its date.
